“Civil rights” leaders are upset that Facebook isn’t censoring Trump enough:
Civil rights leaders who spoke with Mark Zuckerberg said they are shocked by the Facebook CEO’s refusal to take action against an incendiary post by President Donald Trump that Twitter obscured with a warning label.
Leaders of three civil rights groups — Color of Change, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund — released the statement after a Monday night Zoom call with Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg.
“We are disappointed and stunned by Mark’s incomprehensible explanations for allowing the Trump posts to remain up,” wrote the leaders, Rashad Robinson of Color of Change, Vanita Gupta of the Leadership Conference and Sherrilyn Ifill of LDF. “He did not demonstrate understanding of historic or modern-day voter suppression and he refuses to acknowledge how Facebook is facilitating Trump’s call for violence against protesters. Mark is setting a very dangerous precedent for other voices who would say similar harmful things on Facebook.”
It is apparently “incomprehensible” to leftists that speech that they don’t like is exactly the speech that requires the most protection. “Freedom” of speech would obviously not need to be protected, if the only opinions that people voiced were uncontroversial.
It also appears that, if police use their firearms to enforce the law (also called “shooting”) that this constitutes “racism” or some other injustice. After all, if you’re outraged, the law doesn’t apply to you.
We are truly living in Looney Tune times.
As a reminder, none of the protestors (whether or not they are also rioters, bused in, etc.) appear to comprehend that they are not rebels. They aren’t arguing for fundamental change. They literally have the same views as major corporations and the mass of society, which is why they get so much support and tolerance for their behavior – and also why no one challenges them on their nonsensical beliefs (except a few people, in private emails.)
Kaczynski described this phenomenon quite well:

And by the way, they make this accusation without any supporting data, on the basis of a theory that relies on circular reasoning. It doesn’t get any loonier than that.
